The Merry Moore originally began in May of 2017 as an online only boutique when owner, Hayley Moore Valdez, was frustrated at not finding more modest items that were still fashionable and timeless. She was tired of mass quantities from big box stores and seeing the same things at other boutiques. She was looking for quality pieces that were easy to wear. Two years later in May 2019, an ideal location opened up and The Merry Moore opened its first storefront in downtown Springfield on Historic Walnut Street. Unfortunately, due to Covid, Hayley made the tough decision to close her storefront in December 2020. She returned to where she started by focusing on growing the online boutique except she gained two booth locations in Springfield.

The Merry Moore strives to offer an easy shopping experience with curated collections of classy and fashionable women’s clothing and accessories that are all carefully hand-picked. Building a personal relationship with our customers is so important. You can catch Hayley on Instagram/Facebook trying on new arrivals, showing off new products, discussing upcoming events and giving behind the scenes sneak peeks. We also have a weekly live video with the release of each week’s new arrivals on Tuesdays at 7pm cst to try them on for you and give you a chance to ask any questions.

Hayley wants The Merry Moore to be more than a boutique but also to build a community of empowered women by offering events like game nights and craft tutorials led by other local entrepreneurs. She’s got a lot of ideas up her sleeve so be sure to follow us on social media to not miss out on the fun!

Hayley is a wife, small business owner and doggy mom to two rescues. She is the founder and owner of The Merry Moore and themerryshop.com. Hayley grew up in Springfield and graduated from Missouri State University studying Fashion Merchandising and Design. She moved to Bentonville, Arkansas, after graduation to pursue a career in product development. There, she also began The Merry Moore as an online only boutique and participated in several vendor events. She saw a void in downtown Springfield for boutique shopping so when the right space became available, she returned back to her hometown to open up a shopping destination for the ever growing downtown community. She and her family now reside back in Northwest Arkansas after closing the storefront to focus on the online business.
